NASCAR optimizes its videos and data to feature top of the line talent on their socials because that ultimately drives more engagement meaning more revenue. NASCAR also understands that providing unique insider access to a viewer is a powerful tool that helps an audience feel even more connected. NASCAR seems to stick with the strategy of posting about 50 times a week over multiple platforms because a lot of the social media platforms have the same algorithm to reach an audience and to get the most out of that algorithm you have to be consistent and post often. Another thing NASCAR does is thinking outside the box, the content that performs the best online is good original content. For example last year during the pandemic they posted a video of a LEGO Daytona race in stop motion picture format which helped fill a little void of not having racing at the time. Overall NASCAR generates about 2.6% of there revenue from social media which might not sound like a lot but in a multi billion dollar league it is in fact a significant and necessary form of revenue.
